Listening to the media's coverage, I'm shocked to hear, normally intelligent and competent, correspondents and pundits saying ANYTHING positive about this attack.

The July 4th protest MUST be the biggest, loudest, most effective Independence Day event in American history! There MUST be MILLIONS more of US in the streets of every city and town in this country! I'm old enough to remember when the United States backed Iraqi military to go to war with Iran. It cost millions of lives and created massive opposition to our "war mongering” country. The Middle East has always been a bubbling caldron of hate and violence.

Again Chuck you have said it right. I wonder how many people world-wide have been slaughtered in the name of religion. Millions on top of millions I would think over centuries. And what has been gained? Absolutely nothing!!! There are still wars, religion plays a part in some. Will this world of ours, as imperfect as it can be, ever be at peace? Certainly not in my lifetime. Religion, greed, inbred hatred, ego all play a part of it. And I believe we may be getting closer to the day when someone won’t pull back; when a demented person will push that button killing millions of innocents in the name of religion, ego and animosity.
